However, college football has finally returned with five games on the schedule Saturday in a Week 0 slate that will serve as an appetizer for what’s to come this season. While Nebraska vs. Illinois is the headliner, there will be action going on throughout most of the day and late into the evening for fans yearning to get their football fix.

The 2021 college football season is right around the corner and this week we will be previewing each of the Power Five conferences. On Monday we broke down the SEC. On Tuesday it was the Pac-12’s turn. Up next is the Big 12.

2021 Heisman Trophy odds, picks, top predictions: College football expert fading D.J. Uiagalelei in best bets

A number of dynamic quarterbacks are near the top of the 2021 Heisman odds board at Caesars Sportsbook. At the top is Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler at 11-2, followed by Clemson’s D.J. Uiagalelei (7-1), Alabama’s Bryce Young (9-1) and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud (10-1). Of those four, only Rattler was a full-time starter last season. Uiagalelei, the main backup to Trevor Lawrence, saw action in nine games, including several starts when Lawrence was sidelined by the coronavirus.

Other 2021 Heisman Trophy contenders include quarterbacks J.T. Daniels of Georgia at 12-1, Sam Howell of North Carolina at 15-1, D’Eriq King of Miami at 18-1 and Kedon Slovis of USC and Matt Corral of Ole Miss, both at 20-1. 2021 Heisman Trophy odds, picks, predictions: Top college football expert fading D.J. Uiagalelei in best bets

Quarterbacks from three of last season’s national semifinalists, as well as Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler, have the best odds to win the 2021 Heisman Trophy, according to Caesars Sportsbook. Rattler has the best odds at 11-2, followed by Clemson’s D.J. Uiagalelei (7-1), Alabama’s Bryce Young (9-1) and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud (10-1). Rattler started last season, while Uiagalelei saw action in nine games, including when regular starter Trevor Lawrence was sidelined due to COVID-19. Young was Mac Jones’ main backup and Stroud was behind Justin Fields. Young saw action in seven games, while Stroud appeared in three.

Other favorites in the 2021 Heisman Trophy odds include quarterbacks J.T. Daniels (12-1) of Georgia, Sam Howell (15-1) of North Carolina and D’Eriq King (18-1) of Miami.
