Finding a Niche to Promote

Easy ways of finding a niche to promote

Finding a niche to get involved in is as easy as going along to your local supermarket and looking at the magazine stand. Here you will see what people are interested in and paying money to read.

I did just that and have compiled a list of specialist magazines which caught my eye, they are:

Classic cars

Property

Boating

Hunting

Firearms

Healthy eating

Parenting

Running

Home renovating

gardening

These are all general niches. People who purchase these magazines are interested in a niche of a niche; for example, classic car fanatics may be interested in a particular type of classic car. A gardener may not necessarily be interested in growing veggies but rather a particular type of plant such as herbs, ginseng, daffodils, roses, cactus plants or pot plants.

Many TV programs cater for niches. One just needs to look through the … Read more

Parents Guide to Writing Private High School Application Essays

Parents Guide to Writing Private High School Application Essays

Your teenager’s entrance into private high school cannot be taken for granted. With public schools beset with a variety of problems – discipline, poor test results, safety – private high schools offer your child a quality education in a safe environment.

When you request an information package from a private high school, you will discover that essays and short answer essays are required from both you and your teenager. Your teen, who should be comfortable with answering essay style questions will be asked about his academic strengths and weaknesses, his desire to attend the private school and about his hobbies and extra-curricular activities. Questions directed to parents, however, often have a different focus and are designed with different purposes in mind.

Usually, the essay questions directed to parents are analytical in nature. Instead of asking for facts, these questions ask you to speak about your teens character, to discuss family … Read more

Can You Learn How to Speak Spanish Free?

If you want to learn how to speak Spanish free, then you are in the right place. In fact, it may surprise you to find out that the BEST way to learn Spanish is for free! Let me explain.

Was it free for you to learn your first language as a child? Of course! The same can be said for the next language you want to learn now.

I, personally, recommend building a base in Spanish — basic grammar, sentence structure … Read more

College and the Autistic Student

Autism, a neurological-based developmental disability, affects an estimated one in 166 people, according to a 2004 study by the Centers for Disease Control Prevention. Both children and adults with Autism typically show difficulties in verbal and nonverbal communication, social interactions and leisure or play activities, according to the Autism Society of America. Autism affects individuals differently and to varying degrees.

Experts agree on the following advice upon detection of Autism:

1. Seek immediate treatment for your child.

2. If possible, find someone to work with the child at least 20 hours a week, i.e. a therapist, teacher, parent, grandparent or someone from your church or group. Look for progress after one month.

3. Do not allow the child to sit and watch TV all day. Get them engaged and play as many games as possible that require taking turns.

4. New parents learning they have an autistic child must recognize … Read more

Object Lesson – Do You “Spend” Your Time Wisely?

This is an object lesson using $7 in real or play money to teach children the importance of spending time with God every day. The suggested Bible verse to reinforce the teaching is Proverbs 3:6. This article gives a suggested breakdown but feel free to adjust it according to the children you minister to.

Lesson:

Today we’re going to talk about how you can spend more time with God. To help with that, I have $7 and each dollar is going to represent 1 hour. Part of the time you spend each week is in church, Sunday School, and mid-week service so let’s set aside three dollars for that.

Now, let’s think about some things you can do by yourself to spend time with God. First, it’s a good idea to read your Bible every day, but that doesn’t mean you need to spend hours doing it. If you haven’t … Read more
