King Metropolis educator named Center School Teacher of the 12 months | The King City Rustler

KING Metropolis — Monterey County Place of work of Education (MCOE) declared the leading educators in Monterey County in June, and among these honored was Desiree Baltazar, who was named the 2022 Center Faculty Instructor of the Yr.

Baltazar teaches sixth quality language arts, social sciences and ELD at Chalone Peaks Center Faculty in King Metropolis.

Baltazar explained the notification was a “complete surprise” to her, as the principal had let her know district officials would be touring the faculty. What she wasn’t informed was that county officials from MCOE would also be there, and their function was to notify her of her range.

Baltazar was in a small transfer break with her tiny cohort group of students when the administrators turned the corner.

“I’m so not the ‘hey appear at me’ individual, so any type of recognition, I get totally humiliated,” she stated of her response. “Having to dress in a mask on campus saved me that working day from people today viewing how purple my deal with was.”
