BATON ROUGE, La. — Eva Kleinpeter, who turned 82 on Wednesday, started her instruction in a two-place segregated schoolhouse in rural Lafayette Parish. Ten decades ago, she retired from a occupation as a schoolteacher and professor of instruction.
